I’m so excited to share my latest engagement shoot with you today! Chantal & Josh will be getting married in a Toronto Hunt Club wedding this coming summer, but before they tie the knot, we wanted to capture some fun & romantic engagement photos for this beautiful couple.
We were chatting for a while about different potential locations for their engagement session, when Chantal told me it was always her dream to have a High Park cherry blossoms engagement shoot in Toronto. Loving the cherry blossoms myself, I said “let’s do it!” I had shot the blossoms a couple times over the past few years, but wow, I wasn’t prepared for the crowds this year…
Leading up to the shoot I started seeing a CRAZY amount of people in Instagram photos of High Park, once the trees had blossomed fully. Like, way more than ever before. I was a bit nervous about how it would be, but after a really challenging parking situation we were off shooting!
I needn’t have worried. While the park was absolutely insane, and it was a very challenging thing to capture only my clients and not the millions of visitors (and I’ll probably only ever attempt this again first thing in the morning, like at sunrise) I am absolutely IN LOVE with the results of our shoot! I’m so happy the images are so intimate, and it feels like we were the only ones there (instead of just a few of the easily a thousand people)!
Huge props to Chantal & Josh who brought the cutest vintage aqua coloured bicycle along for their engagement shoot, along with a picnic complete with grapes, strawberries and wine, and a blanket to snuggle into together. So romantic.
Thanks to my beautiful couple Chantal & Josh – I can’t wait to capture your Toronto Hunt Club wedding very soon!
