When Jacky & Dave booked me for their Burroughes Building wedding I could not have been more thrilled! Not only because they are a down to earth fun loving couple, but because Jacky just happens to be the sister of one of my beautiful brides – Jennifer! It was a great reunion seeing Jennifer & her husband Danny again, along with their two beautiful baby boys.
We joined Jacky and Jennifer along with their mum and bridesmaids at The Templar Hotel, aka Toronto’s Secret Hotel. Makes sense to me, as I had never heard of The Templar Hotel but it is so cool! I can’t wait to stay there next time I stay in downtown Toronto. The floor to ceiling windows are gorgeous and the light was amazing. Add some glittering gold bridesmaid dresses, a bottle of champagne, a beautiful wedding gown and Jacky’s signature leather jacket and we had a seriously cool wedding party! I just couldn’t get enough of Jacky’s adorable little flower girl – she was the sweetest.
From The Templar Hotel we made our way throughout the city over to Kensington Market. As this wedding took place on a gorgeous and sunny autumn Saturday, Kensington Market was as busy with pedestrians & tourists. It was a really fun vibe, however, and totally suited Jack, Dave and their entire wedding party! I absolutely loved photographing these two in front of such vibrant colourful shops and markets.
We photographed a beautiful first look with Jacky & Dave (he was so happy to see her!) before proceeding on with their wedding photos in Kensington Market. Jacky arranged to have a first look with her father as well and you could just tell these two have a beautiful relationship.
The wedding party looked so killer in gold sequin bridesmaid dresses paired with amazing black leather jackets and the boys in their blue suits.
This Burroughes Building wedding was nothing short of stunning! In case you haven’t seen this unique Toronto wedding venue before, a Burroughes Building wedding is rustic and fun. The 6th floor features stunning exposed brick, creating a beautiful backdrop for the wedding ceremony.
Once Jacky & Dave were pronounced husband & wife during an emotional Burroughes Building wedding ceremony on the 6th floor, Jacky & Dave celebrated by passing out champagne to all of their guests and having a toast! It was such a fun way to toast their marriage and they even walked back down the aisle toasting their wedding guests along the way!
The food did not disappoint, neither did the portraits of Jacky & Dave on the rooftop, the dancing, the speeches and the decor. I ended the evening up on the rooftop with Dave, his new father-in-law, a few friends and whole bunch of cigars.
Best. Night. Ever.
Congratulations Jacky & Dave! We were so thrilled to be a part of your wedding.
