David & Mina had the most lovely Casa Loma wedding day last summer in downtown Toronto. I’m so excited to share it with you today!
Casa Loma Wedding Photography
This wonderful couple is so relaxed that we had the best time during the getting ready part of their wedding day. It must have been the most chilled out getting ready time I’ve ever photographed at a Toronto wedding. Mina & David had the opportunity to get ready in the most stunning luxury penthouse condo on King Street West. There was so much room that both Mina & David could dress separately, and we could easily arrange a first look without issues! It was really amazing working in such an inspiring space. Anything with floor to ceiling windows pretty much has me drooling. I took the opportunity to go outside on the balcony and photograph through the window, showing the reflection of the CN Tower.
Mina had help from her mother & aunt getting into her elegant Vera Wang gown and Rene Caovilla shoes. Not to be outdone, David had the coolest Christian Louboutin mens dress shoes. I had no idea until this moment that Louboutin designed mens’ shoes, and they were gorgeous right down to the trademark red sole.
One of the most touching moments of the day occurred not between the Bride & Groom but between Mina & her family. The look on her father’s face when he saw her for the first time as a Bride was absolutely priceless! Even Mina’s brother got a bit teary seeing his sister ready to marry her love David.
We continued with the sweetest first look between Mina & David. Portraits in the King Street penthouse condo were so beautiful! I couldn’t wait to get them outside on the balcony of the condo as it was the perfect view of the CN Tower for a portrait of the almost married couple.
A beautiful Rolls Royce transported Mina & David to the classic Toronto wedding venue Casa Loma. Beginning at the front gates, we took a whole series of portraits with the classic car.
A Casa Loma wedding is one of the most historic places in Toronto to get married. Every hallway is full of history, and is even rumoured to be haunted. This is a little fact I always think about when roaming the halls during a Casa Loma wedding… 😉
Mina walked down the aisle into David’s waiting arms inside the Conservatory at Casa Loma. Surrounded by their closest family & friends, Mina & David tied the knot and officially became husband & wife during their wedding in the Casa Loma Conservatory.
Cocktail hour at a Casa Loma Wedding
Cocktail hour at Casa Loma weddings is a beautiful affair, taking place outside on the terrace. At this time of the evening the terrace is closed to the public, so David & Mina’s guests could mingle with appetizers & drinks while the happy couple posed for family formal photos and chatted with their guests.
David & Mina’s Casa Loma wedding reception was such a good time! These guys know how to party, and everyone was having the most wonderful time together. Family is clearly so important to both David & Mina, and throughout each speech the tears were freely flowing all around.
We had the most perfect ending to David & Mina’s Casa Loma wedding day. We handed out sparklers to all the guests and surrounded David & Mina outside on the Casa Loma terrace at night. It was the most perfect ending to the most perfect day!
Congratulations David & Mina! I truly can’t thank you enough for trusting me with capturing your engagement & wedding photographs.
