Wow – this Palais Royale wedding was epic! A stunning couple, the colours, the venue, over 300 guests and gorgeous styling everywhere – not to mention the teary speeches on behalf of the bride & groom and their friends & family. It was truly a magical day. But let’s start at the beginning…I apologize right off the bat for so many images in one post, but I really couldn’t edit these down much more!
Nadira and the ladies got dresses at her parents’ house (see Dad taking his own photo in the mirror in a shot below – yes, that was intentional 😉 Due to timing, Nadira & Andrew decided to take their alone photos before the ceremony took place. When we do this, we recommend a “reveal”, meaning we set the bride & groom up to see each other for the first time and we capture the results. It’s a fun way to still have that “wow!” first glance. After the big reveal at Palais Royale in front of close family & friends, it was off for some romantic & private photos at the beautiful and serene Verity Club in Toronto.
We took some fun photos around Verity and in the bridal suite, and then it was back into the limo to head back to Palais Royale for the ceremony, which was held on the tented terrace, which offers a beautiful view of Lake Ontario.
Nadira & Andrew put so much amazing effort into this wedding. Every detail was stunning, and the bride & groom even had a custom cake topper made to look like them. Such a sweet way to personalize your wedding cake. The best part, however, may have been their first dance. Nope – they didn’t do a slow number – that came later. In fact, they are both accomplished dancers who take classes regularly, and they came out and did a show-stopping salsa dance routine! Nadira even changed into a sexy little white dress – which is a good thing because I don’t know if her wedding gown would allow her the moves involved in this dance! Totally fun and original – some of my favourite photos from the reception below are from this dance since they are just having such a great time.
Dance was actually the theme of Andrew & Nadira’s wedding. Each table had a type of dance and table by table, guests were encouraged to take to the dance floor and perform their dance to get the couple to kiss. You can see a shot of the groomsmen doing the Robot below!
Thank you Nadira & Andrew for asking us to document your beautiful wedding day!
