Rainy and romantic. That was Chrisa & Jason’s wedding day, and luckily we stayed nice and warm inside several different beautiful buildings. The ladies were first captured getting ready at Chrisa’s parents’ home. Then it was off to One King West Hotel in downtown Toronto, which is stunning. The off-camera lighting we like to use worked so well down in the vault, and the chandeliers on the higher floors were gorgeous! Love this location.
After a reveal and formal photos, it was off to St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church on Bond Street. Green churches are always lovely and St. George’s was no exception.
Chrisa & Jason shared their vows and their first steps together as husband and wife. Now, time to party! Off to Palais Royale – one of Toronto’s most fab wedding venue locations. Steeped in tradition, Palais Royale used to be a dance hall in Toronto in the 1940’s. On Chrisa & Jason’s wedding day it was the backdrop to their first dance as husband and wife, made that much more dramatic by a single spot light.
This wedding reception gave me the opportunity to create one of my now favourite images. One of the little flower girls was so tired by the time speeches came that she just held her head in her hands. This image always makes me laugh! You have to love kids at weddings.
Congratulations Chrisa & Jason – your wedding was stunning and you were both a pleasure to work with! Thank you for choosing us to capture your wedding day.
