Rianne and Jay are totally, head-over-heels in love. You could see it in the way they looked at one another all day. It’s so wonderful to see two people who are just so completely made for each other. Their rings are even engraved on the outside, each with the words “My whole world”. Did you just get goosebumps too?
This wedding was a real creative treat for me to shoot. Rianne & Jay planned an elegant & romantic sunset ceremony high up on the 51st floor of the Manulife Building at the stunning Panorama Lounge and Restaurant.
Before the romantic ceremony, however, Justin and I had a ball running around Yorkville with Jay and his Groomsmen, and then Rianne and her Bridesmaids (Rianne got ready at the Marriott on Bloor), taking all sorts of fun, urban shots. I love shooting downtown as you always get something unique and never know what you’re going to find. This wedding party was incredible to work with! So much fun and so easy-going.
The ceremony was a very special family affair as Rianne’s Dad performed it, and her sister read a passage from The Velveteen Rabbit. I’m pretty sure Rianne & Jay couldn’t have stopped smiling and laughing if they tried!
After pausing on the balcony of Panorama for a sunset photo (a specialty of mine), we moved downstairs to the streets of Bay & Bloor to do urban nighttime wedding party photos.
A huge thank you to Rianne & Jay and your friends and family – Justin and I felt so welcomed at your wedding and we hope that you love your images!
