Well, it’s definitely the summer, but we are still posting weddings from last year so here’s a winter wonderland wedding for you to take your mind off the heat.
Jessica & Anthony got married 2 weeks after I delivered our second baby, our daughter Jillian. We had an emergency back-up photographer lined up in case I had to stay in the hospital, but luckily the birth went great and I was healthy enough to shoot the wedding after all!
We began at the Intercontinental Hotel on Front Street in Toronto for some getting ready photos with the girls and guys. Jessica looked absolutely stunning and had gorgeous details (loved all her jewelry, dress, hair piece, shoes…) We also got some great shots of her handsome groom Anthony before the two saw each other for their “first look” downstairs in the lobby of the hotel.
Whenever we shoot a winter wedding, the daylight (or lack thereof) is always super important. While we are totally happy working in darker situations, on wedding days I always love to give our clients the best of both worlds (daylight and flash / video light imagery). We got outside just in time to catch the last of the daylight, amidst quite a snow storm! It was pretty romantic but wow was it cold & slushy. I can’t even begin to describe how incredible these two were out in the slush and snow – especially Jessica in nothing but her dress and heels! Just wow. The result was stunning!
We continued shooting at the wedding ceremony & reception venue, The Steam Whistle Brewery. It was our first time shooting here and it was so unique! Cool spots with tons of beer (if you love beer – this is your place!)
After a beautiful ceremony and family formals, we finished out our coverage with a romantic snowy night time photo shoot outside the Steam Whistle Brewery, in front of the CN Tower and Rogers Centre.
Congratulations Jessica & Anthony! Justin and I were so happy we were able to come through for you and shoot your wedding after all 🙂 Thank you for being so amazing when we were welcoming our newest (and last!) addition to our family.
Always a pleasure to work with – Honey and Dear were the talented videography team and they delivered a gorgeous wedding film which you can check out here.
