Ever since I began teaching my 2 day From Day To Night photography workshops last year, I realized I absolutely love teaching and helping others learn. Those who are new to the world of wedding photography are often not sure how to begin, or how to grow their business. Or, maybe you have been in business for several years but feel like you can take steps to do better work, revise your branding or begin selling albums to your clients (so important!) As of 2016 I am opening my studio doors to those who wish to take part in personal mentoring. If you would love to learn anything from me (no subject is off the table – I am an open book!) please get in touch. I would love to have you over for coffee, look through your work, and help you not only put your best foot forward but learn how to take your business and wedding photography to the next level.
PLEASE NOTE: My mentoring is targeted primarily to wedding photographers, however I can give general branding and image critiques to other types of photographers including family & boudoir photographers.
To make it even easier to take the jump (because some of us are nervous about having work critiqued – even though I am super nice I promise!), I am offering a special rate when you bring friends. This way you can come with a friend, share the cost and learn from each other’s questions and critiques. Of course the fewer people at your session, the more personal attention and direction you will receive, so please keep that in mind when you choose how many people to bring.
My studio is located in Rockwood, just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Rockwood is a beautiful village conveniently located just 25 minutes North of Milton, off highway 401. On a good traffic day, the drive to Rockwood is 45 minutes from Toronto but please allow more time during rush hour. We have free street parking right out front.
I am completely open to anything you want to discuss on how to be a successful wedding photographer in Toronto, but here are some great places to start:
• Portfolio image critique
• Website critique
• The basics of blogging and SEO (search engine optimization)
• How to structure your pricing & packages
• Best practices for superior client service
• Strategies to target your ideal clients
• Building a successful social media presence
• What photography gear I use
• How I achieve my lighting
• What vendors I use for my albums & products
• How to host a productive wedding consultation with clients
… Plus anything else you wish!
