I’m happy to share with you today the stunningly colourful wedding day of Nicole and Rolland. This lovely couple held their Moroccan themed wedding day at the West River Event Centre in Vaughan. Every detail was perfect, filled with colour, music and amazing food! When Nicole and Rolland described their wedding to us at their engagement session at The Good Earth Winery, they told us about how they asked their guests to wear lots of colour on the wedding day, and that there would be peacock themed colours everywhere. It sounded like it would be amazing, and of course they did not disappoint!
Before the ceremony, the bride and groom got ready at their respective hotels in Vaughan. I must thank Colette from Makeup By Colette for making Nicole’s make-up so flawless!
The ceremony took place in the outdoor garden at the West River Event Centre, where Rolland and Nicole said their heartfelt vows, exchanged rings and became husband and wife. You could just see the happiness emanating between these two, all smiles as they signed the registry and walked back down the aisle together, officially married!
Amanda from Green Apple Events did an amazing job ensuring every detail came together perfectly and right on time. Cocktail hour was held outdoors with a musical performance by Marko Bongo for the happy guests. Everyone made their way inside to the Grand Ballroom, and signed Rolland and Nicole’s peacock signing print, each with their own unique thumb print, which was used in place of a traditional guestbook.
The reception was filled with yummy and exotic food & music, a belly dancer and even a flash mob performed by many of the couple’s closest friends! It was the first time we’ve seen a flash mob at a wedding and I think it was as much a surprise to the bride & groom as it was to us!
Congratulations Nicole & Rolland – you two were made for each other and make a beautiful couple. We loved capturing your special day and we wish you all the very best in your marriage.
